Product notes

Winter and late spring 2023 were warm and dry. Heavy rains in late May through mid-June revitalized growth, particularly in the southwestern Barolo area. July and August were hot and dry, causing water stress that influenced vine development. Production was average but with notable aromatic and color concentration.

Production notes

High-density vineyards harvested without prior thinning, with selection done only during manual harvest in 20 kg crates. Grapes destemmed and fermented in horizontal submerged cap fermenters for 8–10 days at 30°C. Malolactic fermentation in steel for 40 days. Aged for 10 months in the same steel tanks used for vinication, with lees stirring to extract mannoproteins, giving sweetness to the wine.
