Product notes

Located at the easternmost edge of the Grands Crus hill, "Les Blanchots" takes its name from the stony nature of its soil, composed of whitish limestone and a light-colored clay-limestone subsoil. Our plot is situated on a very steep slope in the coolest part of this Climat, ensuring vibrancy and finesse in the wines. The soil, which in places contains bluish clay, and the predominantly morning sun give this Grand Cru a very distinctive character, lending the wine a dominant floral quality.

Production notes

Fermentation: 70% in stainless steel tanks and 30% in 3- to 5-year-old oak barrels. Aging: 70% in stainless steel tanks and 30% in 3- to 5-year-old oak barrels for 10 months on fine lees. Final aging in stainless steel tanks for 6 months.

Tasting notes

The nose is dominated by an exquisite bouquet of white flowers (lily, rose). The palate is full and generous, with great harmony, and a very mineral, slightly iodine and smoky finish (flint, pencil lead).
