Product notes

The vintage began with a prolonged winter and a rainy, cool spring, which delayed the vegetative cycle by about two weeks compared to recent years, bringing it back to more traditional timing. Abundant spring rains ensured good water reserves in the soil, useful during a summer that alternated heat waves with milder, unstable phases. this required great care in the vineyard, especially for phytosanitary management. In September, a strong storm with hail hit some limited areas around Alba, but did not compromise the main winegrowing zones. Nebbiolo harvested in October shows significant aging potential, with intense and structured wines. A vintage that can be defined as traditional, balanced, and promising.

Production notes

Thinning in the vineyard in August followed by grape selection at harvest. Grapes harvested in 20 kg crates. All Nebbiolo vineyards are vinied separately. Aer destemming, alcoholic fermentation and maceration on theskins lasted between 10 and 16 days, partly in submerged cap roto-fermenters and partly in oating cap fermenters. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation followed in steel tanks.e Barolo Buon Padre is aged for 36 months in truncated-cone French oak vats (untoasted), with capacity ranging from 25 to 50 hl, depending on the cru. Each vineyard is harvested, vinied, and aged separately, to preserve its special characteristics. The wines are blended to create the final cuvée, expression of the balance and complexity of Barolo Buon Padre. Bottling takes place a few weeks later without ltration, followed by 6–12 months of bottle aging before release.
