Product notes

Quinta da Garrida was acquired by Aliança Vinhos de Portugal in 1998. Located at the foot of the Serra da Estrela in Vila Nova de Tazém, in the heart of the Dão region, this estate is distinguished by the diversity of the wines it produces. With red grape varieties (Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Jaen) and white grape varieties (Encruzado) spread across several plots, the wines are vinified separately, thus preserving the authenticity and unique character of each vineyard. The granitic soil produces highly mineral wines, full of freshness and endowed with remarkable gastronomic qualities.

Production notes

40% fermented and aged for 3 months in one-year-old oak barrels.

Tasting notes

Very pale greenish-yellow in color. Intense and very delicate aroma, with hints of white fruit and very subtle toasted notes. On the palate, it is well-balanced, with a long, intense finish. Mineral notes detectable on the nose and palate lend it complexity and aging potential. Good acidity; refined and elegant. Enormous aging potential.
