Neive, Piedmont. Blue-tinged calcareous marl, characterized by low clay content.
Production notes
Maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in temperature-controlled tanks for approximately 10 days. Malolactic fermentation occurs in used French oak barrels, followed by 12 months of aging. Finally, the wine is aged in the bottle for about 6 months. This wine is a blend of Nebbiolo from Spinetta’s three Barbaresco vineyards in Neive.
Tasting notes
It has a brilliant ruby-red color. The nose is full-bodied and intense, with notes of fresh fruit, violet, and rose. It features notes of candied red fruit, rose, and spices. It has a beautiful tannic balance with a long, fruity finish. On the palate, it starts with a smooth attack, followed by soft yet persistent tannins.
