Product notes
Le Macìe Estate, Le Macìe Vineyard in Castellina in Chianti. 350 meters above sea level. 24-year-old vines. 5 hectares under cultivation. Sillano soil, with traces of Alberese and Galestro; marly limestone, loamy, alkaline, and very calcareous.
Production notes
After careful selection in the vineyard, the grapes are vinified at a controlled temperature, with post-fermentation maceration on the skins for approximately 15 days. The wine is then aged in 25- to 35-hectoliter French oak barrels for 15 to 18 months, followed by a further period of aging in the bottle for at least one year.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red with garnet highlights. Intense and persistent, with notes of red berries, jam, and spices. On the palate, the wine is structured, well-balanced, and features a long finish.
